NSR WITH PJC
A Premature junctional Complex (PJC) arises an irritable
focus within the AV junction. Characteristic of a PJC include: 1) an absent or
inverted P wave in lead II; 2) a shortened PR interval - less than 0,12 second;
and 3) the complex comes early or premature.
JUNCTIONAL RHYTM
Junctional Rhytm - also called junctional escape rhytm-
originates from the AV Junction (AV node and Bundle of HIS). The expected
pacemaker rate of the AV junction 40-60/minute. in lead II, a junctional rhytm
presents with inverted or absent P waves. Note: an Absent P wave in junctional
rhytm is also associated with loss of atrial kick.
ACCELERATED JUNCTIONAL
Accelerated Junctional rhytm results from enhanced
automaticity, increased symphatetic nervous system activity (catecholamines) or
ischemia. key features of this rhytm include a rate between 60-100/minute,
inverted or absent P waves (in lead II), shortened PR interval, And QRS
complexes that are usually narrow.
JUNCTIONAL TACHICARDIA
Junctional Tachicardia results from enhanced automaticity,
increased sympathetic activity (cathecolamines) and ischemia. Key features of
this rhytm include a rate over 100/minute, inverted or absent P wave buried in
each QRS complex displayed here in this ECG.
